+1 some kind of “worst case scenario” date would be highly appreciated.

We should be cutting a CR5 by tomorrow. If we are lucky maybe tonight. It should hopefully be the last CR5. Provided no blockers are reported it will become the Final release.

Re: Wildfly 10 Release Date

arjan.tijms
Looking forward to RC5 and the final release!

One question, I noticed that the JASPIC security domain hasn't been added yet. I checked https://github.com/wildfly/wildfly/blob/master/security/subsystem/src/main/resources/subsystem-templates/security.xml

The part that should be added here is:

      <security-domain name="jaspitest" cache-type="default">
                    <authentication-jaspi>
                        <login-module-stack name="dummy">
                            <login-module code="Dummy" flag="optional"/>
                        </login-module-stack>
                        <auth-module code="Dummy"/>
                    </authentication-jaspi>
                </security-domain>

Can this still be done in time for rc5 and thus the final?

Kind regards,
Arjan Tijms

Re: Wildfly 10 Release Date

Eduardo Sant´Ana da Silva
Arjan,

I thought by the e-mail threads that it was decided to not include this since the transition for Elytron.

"I will have a look at what we can do, as we are transitioning to Elytron
long term we should be aiming to avoid all workarounds like this."   Darran Lofthouse

I've just remember of that.

Eduardo Sant'Ana da Silva

True, but in a later mail (not on the list), Darran said to indeed look at the possibility of providing the mentioned dummy domain.

As Elytron is long term, the dummy domain would be a workable solution for the short to medium term.
